Volunteering

volunteer applications are now open!

This event wouldn’t happen without our army of dedicated volunteers. If you would like to join our merry crew, we would be very appreciative!

Here are some of the jobs we need help with:

  • Front Desk

    • We need friendly faces to help check people in and answer questions.

    • Selling merchandise.

    • Raising any issues or complaints to the GI Committee.

  • Karaoke Room

    • Keep the karaoke running and making sure everyone gets a turn on the mic.

    • If required, removing any songs with questionable lyrics.

    • There will inevitably be noise complaints, be prepared to handle these with grace!

  • Games Room

    • Help with games and game-related panels.

    • It would be really beneficial if you knew rules of some games such as the MLP: CCG, Tales of Equestria, Prance, etc beforehand, but if you learn quickly this is also the role for you!

  • Creative Room

    • Help with creative activities, ensuring they run to schedule and panel hosts have everything they need.

    • Warning: May involve glitter!

  • Vendor Hall

    • Assisting vendors and attendees.

    • Helping both vendors and attendees with any problems that may arise.

    • Not for those with little financial restraint!

  • Techy Ponies

    • Assist Old Tech and Co. with setting up the stage for our Saturday Night Music Event!

    • Help set up laptops, microphones etc for panels.

    • Perfect for those who might know things about light/sound/light and sound/computers/horses.

  • Charity Auction

    • This would involve taking photos, writing descriptions for items and creating a PowerPoint to be used in the auction.

    • Warning: You may be auctioned.

  • Feather Friends

    • We’re taking a leaf out of UKPC and FoF’s books and having our own little club for our friends who might be new to conventions, might be a little bit shy, or just feeling overwhelmed.

      • Be sociable and welcoming

      • Take part in some fun little activities

      • Help people feel at ease

      • Horse
